Too Disabled to Work — While Running a Business and Traveling the World: 18 Months
For nine years Milbourne claimed service-connected injuries left him unable to work. In reality: international travel, his own business, intensive workouts several times a week. About $241,260 in disability benefits stolen.
From December 1, 2013 through December 1, 2022, Victor Milbourne claimed he was severely disabled and unable to work due to service-connected injuries in order to receive VA disability benefits he was not entitled to.
In reality, he led a very active lifestyle that included international travel, running his own business, and intensive physical workouts multiple times a week. He spent the stolen funds on frequent dinners out and luxury vacations.
Milbourne pleaded guilty in September 2025 to 10 counts of theft of government funds. Judge Paul S. Diamond imposed the 18-month sentence along with $241,690 in restitution, a $20,000 fine, and a $1,000 special assessment.
