The Pharmacy Chief Who Skimmed the Bottles
For three years, the man in charge of the Erie VA’s pharmacy took hydrocodone and oxycodone out of bottles that were waiting to be delivered to veterans. Two years’ probation.
Camera was employed as the Pharmacy Chief at the Erie VA Medical Center from January 2017 to June 2020.
During that period, according to information presented to the court, he unlawfully obtained multiple dosage units of hydrocodone and oxycodone from pill bottles that were awaiting delivery to VA patients — skimming the medicine of veterans whose prescriptions he oversaw.
The VA Office of Inspector General investigated; U.S. District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter imposed the sentence. The release states no pill count or dollar figure, and this page invents none.
