2,833 Claims From a “Social Worker” Who Never Was One
She was never a licensed clinical social worker. She told the VA she was, got authorized to treat veterans’ mental health, and submitted 2,833 claims for about $2.7 million. Pleaded guilty; $1.84M restitution.
Rolland falsely represented herself to the VA as a licensed clinical social worker to obtain authorization to provide mental-health services to veterans through her company, White Raven Healing Services, LLC.
In total she submitted 2,833 false claims to the Veterans Health Administration for about $2.7 million. Of that, $1,838,727 was billed, and she has agreed to pay that amount in restitution as part of her guilty plea.
The case is carried in the VA OIG’s Criminal Investigative Updates under CHAMPVA and Other Healthcare Fraud (VHA). The veterans on the other end of those claims were seeking mental-health care.
