WATCH: COPS CALLED on James O'Keefe After Confronting Georgetown Dean!

O'Keefe Media Group 8:28 Watch on YouTube

In this video, O’Keefe Media Group documents what it characterizes as a confrontation with Georgetown University leadership regarding allegations against an adjunct professor. According to O’Keefe Media Group, the organization conducted undercover operations and obtained footage of Jonathan Franklin, an adjunct professor teaching a graduate-level journalism course called “Sourcing and Interview Tech” at Georgetown, allegedly using racial slurs when discussing Black public figures.

O’Keefe Media Group claims the footage shows Franklin allegedly referring to conservative Black commentators including Candace Owens, Lawrence Jones, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas using what the creator describes as “racial epithets.” According to O’Keefe Media Group, after obtaining this material, the organization visited Georgetown’s campus to seek comment from university officials.

The creator describes attempting to contact the university’s media relations office and visiting the dean’s office to discuss the professor’s alleged conduct. O’Keefe Media Group claims that after meeting with a dean and waiting approximately 20 minutes in his office, police were called to remove them from campus. In the video, O’Keefe engages with responding officers, stating the organization was simply attempting to ask questions as members of the press and invoking First Amendment protections.

According to O’Keefe Media Group, a university staff member told them they “can’t just show up anywhere,” to which O’Keefe responded by referencing constitutional press freedoms. The creator characterizes the police response as an attempt to prevent journalistic inquiry, claiming the organization regularly experiences law enforcement involvement during their reporting activities.

O’Keefe Media Group notes that Franklin continues to be scheduled to teach the sourcing and interview technology course at Georgetown’s downtown satellite campus on Massachusetts Avenue beginning in January, and questions whether the university will continue employing the professor given the alleged conduct captured in their investigation.

In O’Keefe Media Group’s Own Words

“This guy’s teaching a graduate level class here in Washington DC on the satellite campus downtown DC on Massachusetts Avenue.”

“We were in the dean’s office, saw the dean of the university, very nice guy at the front desk. Dean comes in, sees me, gives me a look…then he calls the police on us for just asking him if we can talk to him.”

“There’s something called the First Amendment.”

O’Keefe Media Group confronts Georgetown University officials over an adjunct professor allegedly using racial slurs, then claims police were called to remove them from campus.
